Poker and Scrabble an unlikely but entertaining mix

Mobile poker fans on the iPhone, iPodTouch and iPad platform have an intriguing new game with which to tussle whilst on the move following the release this week of Poker Pals, a new offering intriguingly described as an amalgam of poker and Scrabble.

Developed by apps experts Chillingo, the game sells in the iTunes store for less than a pound sterling and boasts game play that is at once familiar yet different, where players use the cards at their disposal to build combinations, make hands and score points, competing against others using Game Centre or random challenger contests online.
