Digital sports media group PERFORM has partnered with mobile ad network InMobi to cover all African traffic to m.goal.com, the mobile version of PERFORM’s football news site Goal.com.
InMobi will sell over half a billion mobile ad impressions this year from traffic to m.goal.com, with the finals of the 2012 African Cup of Nations in January and February boosting traffic from Africa as fans head to the mobile site for the latest news from the competition.
“As the world’s largest football website with over 20 million unique users each month, we needed a mobile ad network with the necessary scale and reach to match the size and ambition of our operation,” said Daryn Wober, managing director of Global Business Development at PERFORM. “Furthermore we needed a partner who has experience working with the growing African mobile advertising industry as we continue to grow our business in the region.”
“This is a significant new partnership for InMobi and for our customers,” added Rob Jonas, vice president and managing director of InMobi. “Our extensive network, combined with this agreement with Goal.com, gives us unrivalled reach across the whole of the African continent to help us deliver our target impressions each month. We are looking forward to working with Goal.com to bring mobile ads to consumers across all of Africa.”
