Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, the owner of the Philadelphia-based Parx Casino and Racing company, announced this week that it is to seek permission to use mobile gambling technology within the Parx premises in much the same way as has now become common practice in New Jersey and Nevada land casinos.
Parx appears to have settled on the WMS Betcloud system for the initiative, technology that has proved effective on gambling cruise ships.
John Dixon, the chief technical officer at Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, told the publication Philly.com that Parx hoped to encourage participation from a younger demographic by introducing newer ways to gamble.
