William Hill’s mobile slot Pig Wizard paid out a hefty jackpot of GBP 1 659 372 on a GBP 1 spin last week.

The married man in his early 60s from Rutherglen quit his factory job and promised to whisk his wife off to Las Vegas.

“I kept saying over and over again ‘this can’t be true’. I didn’t sleep for two whole nights and my wife was climbing the walls as we waited over the Bank Holiday to see the money in our account”, the lucky punter said.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, has retired early following the win saying he will give a fair portion of the win away to close family and friends.
