Racing Post and William Hill team up in iPhone app enhancement

Racing Post and UK bookmaker William Hill have released an enhancement to the Racing Post’s popular iPhone App.

The app allows the bettor to browse Racing Post’s news, tips and data, make an informed decision on which horse to back, place a bet by tapping the William Hill odds on the racecard and then use the Live Reporter function to follow the race.

“We’ve seen over 200,000 downloads of our free app since we launched and the feedback has been excellent,” said Mark Renshaw, Head of Online for Racing Post. “When we surveyed our iPhone app users earlier this year, betting through the app was requested and we soon undertook a process to find a suitable betting partner. Over the last few months we’ve worked hard with William Hill to develop, test and refine the process and it has impressed everyone who’s seen it.”

“There’s nothing else like it. It really means that the concept of mobile betting has reached a new level,” said Jamie Hart from William Hill Online, “we believe it will be a huge hit with punters and iPhone users.’

The app is available in the iTunes App Store and those who already have the Racing Post app can update to the new version.
