Mobile application developer, Mfuse, in conjunction with bookmaker Ladbrokes announced the launch of its mobile application “Easy Bet”, this week.
The application developed specifically for the Grand National will provide a “fast, secure and easy way to bet” for mobile customers watching the race to be held Saturday, 9 April 2011. The race is a world-famous and popular National Hunt horse race held annually at Aintree Racecourse near Liverpool, England with an estimated 600 million viewers.
The app was conceived, developed and released within eight weeks demonstrating Mfuse’s intent towards developing “disposable” apps focused on particular sports events. The Ladbrokes app also lets those that have placed a bet of at least GBP 1.00 to watch the race live on their iPhone – another first.
Marcus Wareham, Chief Executive Officer of Mfuse, commented: “This is a very exciting time for the mobile sports betting industry. An estimated 600 million people worldwide tune in to see the Grand National and thanks to the fast response time of our team, they can now make a quick, easy bet from the comfort of their own living room.”
