Boldly going where others may fear to tread in the intensively competitive field of online poker is the Malta-based games software developer Miles Ahead Limited, which thjis week announced its plans for a white label online poker network it plans to call “Next Poker”.
Miles Ahead’s parent company is the Swedish mobile service provider Aspiro AB, and the company has apparently already clinched a revenue sharing deal with an as yet unnamed European poker operator to use the new network before the end of the year.
Miles Ahead has revealed that the Next Poker Network has been quietly working through a beta test phase involving several hundred players recruited throughout Europe and will be offering players a revolutionary head-to-head experience in addition to original ring games and tournaments. The full launch will see all of these services accessible directly as instant-play from a browser and on mobile devices including the iPhone.
Gunnar Sellaeg, Chief Executive Officer for Malmo-based Aspiro, said: ”This partner agreement is our first step forward in our efforts in the gambling technology area. When a well-known poker site chooses to go with Miles Ahead, we see it as a sign that we are on the right track with this initiative.”
