The UK betting giant Betfred has launched a free lottery app for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.
Using the app, mobile punters can wager on up to 12 international lotteries as they are drawn live daily and can either use their saved favourites or choose the ‘lucky dip’ to randomly generate numbers. The app includes a facility to view results and share the app across social network channels.
Manchester-based digital design and build agency Degree 53 developed the app specifically for Microsoft consumers, working in consultation with lottery specialists at Betfred and producing the product in just 8 weeks.
Chris Sheffield, managing director of Betfred.com said: “It is a real coup to team up with one of the world’s most recognised mobile technology brands.
“We expect to see big growth in Windows 8 use as more consumers upgrade their PCs and mobile devices, and we wanted our customers to be able to access and play our popular lotto games on a choice of platforms.”
