A deal between Seattle-based Big Fish Games and Betable inked in August this year came to fruition Tuesday with the announcement that the Big Fish Casino app for real money online gambling is now available in Britain.
The app gives players the option of play-for-fun games or serious real cash action on slots. It uses technology from Betable, which has big ambitions for other deals that will bring gambling to the social gaming environment.
Betable handles user ID, location and age verification in addition to the software platform.
A Big Fish spokesman said the app is the first in a series of Betable-enabled games that Big Fish plans to launch. The title is available in the Apple App Store in the United Kingdom and runs on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
He claimed that Big Fish Casino is one of the top-grossing mobile games, with more than 1 million monthly active players worldwide.
“Real-money betting is just one more way we are enhancing the Big Fish Casino gameplay experience,” said Carey DiJulio, general manager of Big Fish Casino.
“With the launch of Big Fish Casino UK, real‐money players in the United Kingdom can join our other Big Fish Casino players in the social aspects and thrill of casino gaming from their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch anywhere they happen to be.”
