The Spanish mobile games backend provider Gamedonia is being sold to GSN for an undisclosed consideration following recent negotiations, the company has reported.
Barcelona-based Gamedonia will re-brand as GSN Gamedonia following the completion of the acquisition, and its staff will be absorbed by GSN, working with the games studio in India.
Gamdonia founder and CEO David Xicota, will stay on as studio director of the newly GSN Games Barcelona establishment.
This is the second acquisition by GSN since the beginning of 2016…in February the company moved in on social casino games provider Plumbee after taking an ownership stake just months before in games developer Idle Gaming (see previous reports)
Steve Brunell, CEO of GSN, said in a statement Wednesday that the Gamedonia acquisition was part of the company’s strategy to build advanced technology and talented teams in order to produce top games for the international market.
