Stockholm-based technology solutions provider for the online gambling and gaming industry Cubeia has followed up the launch of its Firebase Community Edition – a scalable, enterprise server for multiplayer games – with the release of new software that includes HTML5 support for mobile and tablet applications.
Firebase Community Edition is claimed to be the first open-source game server in the online gambling industry and already holds agreements with leading skill gaming networks Jadestone DiceArena and the MahjongLogic network. Together the Cubeia Network Community Edition and Firebase Community Edition form a complete open source gambling network platform.
Cubeia’s latest release follows six months worth of development and makes possible the unification of a game portfolio on a single platform, regardless of the client’s technology.
Lars J. Nilsson, executive vice president, Cubeia Ltd said, “For years people have talked about the coming hand-held revolution. And now it’s upon us. Cubeia Firebase combines the scalability and proven robustness of Firebase with HTML5 support for WebSockets and Comet. There’s no longer any reason not to embrace web-based clients.
“As the market fragments across devices and social channels it’s more important than ever to make sure you have a platform that can support your enterprise. Cubeia Firebase is exactly that: hand-held HTML5 clients that can run side by side with downloadable 3D clients. One platform, unlimited scalability.”
