Former IGT executive Robert Melendres has brought his new ringit! Pro sportsbetting app to market after months of development (see previous reports)
The new mobile app from Seattle offers players more than 15,000 prediction opportunities during a single NFL game, challenging them to quickly call plays that the coach has in mind or which football player will make the most yards.
Melandres says that the platform has algorithms which produce dynamic odds that change as a game progresses, but which are set in such a way that it remains a game of skill. And he admitted in an interview with Geekwire that “people who understand football really are the ones who ultimately win.”
The app is at present being offered in social mode with virtual currency, but Melandres has plans to launch cash games, challenges and tournaments not dissimilar to those offered by daily fantasy sports firms like DraftKings and FanDuel with big prize pools.
Meanwhile his company, which has 60 employees based in the United States and India, continues to develop the product despite the political and legal turmoil currently swirling around the DFS industry.
