European-based mobile free-to-play social casino developer Huuuge Games has concluded a Series A investment round of $4 million led by Korea Investment Partners (KIP).
Existing investors include Seppo Helava – founder of what is now Big Fish Casino, Juha Paananen and Henric Suuronen – co-founders at Nonstop Games, and Wibe Wagemans – former senior vice president at Rovio and Big Fish Mobile.
Sang-Ho Park, senior principal at KIP, who will join Huuuge’s board of directors, said: “Huuuge is disrupting the free-to-play casino gaming market by providing a much more interactive social gaming experience, and we are very pleased to be part of the growth story.”
“What Anton and the team have achieved over the past year is really impressive. Huuuge is a great example of a founder-led, data-driven, next-gen app business we like to invest in.”
Huuuge said KIP’s participation will increase the company’s presence in APAC with the latest investment being used to fund global expansion and scale distribution efforts.
“We are excited to have Korea Investment Partners on board as one of the leading VCs with tremendous experience in gaming and social networks, especially in the Asian markets,” added Anton Gauffin, chief executive officer for Huuuge.
