The New Jersey House of Assembly has unanimously approved a measure permitting the use of “on-premises” mobile devices for betting at Atlantic City casino resorts.
The positive vote follows a similar response from the Senate earlier this month (see previous InfoPowa reports) and sees the measure now headed for Governor Chris Christie’s desk for signing into state law.
The state Division of Gaming Enforcement will have to verify that the mobile devices wont work beyond the physical boundaries of the casino properties, the measure requires. Gamblers will have to establish a mobile betting account with the casino and all bets would have to be paid on casino grounds.
