South Point Hotel Casino Spa in Las Vegas is the fourth operator in Nevada to launch a mobile sports betting app for iOS and Android devices.
The launch comes soon after the appointment of former William Hill US marketing man Jimmy Vaccaro who was tasked to oversee the casino’s online poker and mobile debut in the Nevada market under the Real Gaming brand (see previous InfoPowa report).
The free-to-download NV Sports App is reported to be similar in design to William Hill’s sportsbetting app and joins Cantor Gaming, William Hill and Station Casino vying for Nevada residents business.
The app reportedly has limited availability at present necessitating a personal visit to South Point’s flagship location for late night bets. It allows for the placement of a wide variety of sports wagers including straight bets, parlay bets, round robins, and teasers. Options are also available for punters to review open bets, their account history, lists of player injuries and game results.
“Our guests have the possibility to place their sports bets from home, while at South Point at dinner or at the bar,” commented Ryan Growney, general manager of South Point. “By adding this new mobile betting application to our sports books offerings, we can showcase a new method of placing bets to sports fans throughout Nevada.”
