Betfair’s subsidiary TVG has launched a fully integrated horse race wagering application for iPad.
The launch follows the release of a native horse race wagering application for iPhone earlier this year in May (see previous InfoPowa report).
TVG’s iPad app offers free handicapping information, live racing video and race alerts covering 150 race tracks worldwide.
“The TVG App for iPad demonstrates TVG’s commitment to the industry through the development of new wagering platforms that appeal to both current core and new generation racing fans,” said Bhavesh Patel, TVG’s Senior Vice President of Television Operations and Marketing. “TVG remains focused on providing fast and easy betting products to our customers that fit conveniently with their lifestyles.”
Since the introduction of the TVG iPhone App, TVG customer wagering via mobile devices has more than doubled, the company said.
While TVG apps are free to download, wagering on TVG’s iPhone, iPad and iPod devices requires a TVG advanced deposit wagering (ADW) account, available to customers residing in the 30 states where TVG wagering services are offered.
