San Francisco-based B2B social gaming developer and provider OpenWager launched the Bingo Cruise android app for multi-platform news and information media company USA Today earlier this month.
Bingo Cruise, a first time foray into the games market for USA Today, is a classic bingo game that transports players on a journey around the globe.
New destinations are unlocked as players advance from one level to the next. At the end of each round, players have a chance to spin a Fortune Wheel and receive a random bonus.
OpenWager has incorporated a variety of social features, including friends’ lists, private messaging, power-ups, achievement tracking and more – all synced with player’s social network accounts.
“We are thrilled to partner with USA Today in bringing USA Today Bingo Cruise to one of the largest and most influential media organisations in the US,” said John Cahill, chief executive officer of OpenWager.
“Our company is committed to helping USA Today delight its readers with this exciting new game while opening a new and valuable line of mobile-based digital revenue.”
Derek Murphy, general manager and executive vice president of USA Today, said: “USA Today is excited to elevate its games presence to the next level by introducing the USA Today Bingo Cruise app.”
